Health & Vaccinations
All clients are responsible for ensuring that they
conform to health regulations of the countries they are
visiting. There are no compulsory inoculations for tours
featured in this brochure. For recommended inoculations
and health guidelines please consult your GP.
Because of your personal health record we strongly
recommend that you check with your doctor or seek
professional medical advice in respect of vaccinations
required for specific areas as this information is
constantly changing and being updated by both the
destination country and the Department of Health.
Precautions against Malaria should be adhered to at
all times. Malaria is a risk only in certain parts of the
Far East, South East Asia and many parts of Africa.
Please consult your doctor if you are travelling to any
of the following countries: China (certain rural areas);
Malaysia (certain areas) and Thailand (certain remote
border areas).

General Health Safety & Security
Fan Fare events only contracts with reputable suppliers
abroad, it is important to note that some countries
and/or suppliers do not conform to British health and
safety standards. The applicable safety standards and
regulations which apply overseas are those of the
country concerned and as a result, general standards
of safety, hygiene, fire precautions etc. can be different
to those we take for granted in the UK. You are
therefore requested to take great care when first
venturing into unfamiliar territory, buildings or
surroundings. Petty crime, robberies and muggings
can occur anywhere in the world and some
destinations, particularly large cities, are worse than
others. As a general rule, drink only bottled water and
check the seal is secure when you receive it. Do not
eat raw vegetables, unpeeled fruit and raw uncooked
seafood. Avoid food and drink from street vendors and
restaurants that might have suspect refrigeration and
sanitary practices. Always respect local customs,
standards and sensibilities especially in areas of
cultural and religious importance, as failure to do so
may offend local inhabitants.

Foreign & Commonwealth Office Advice
We take the safety of our clients very seriously.
Fan Fare events receives information on a regular
basis about conditions at a local level from its
regionally / locally appointed representatives.
However when deciding whether particular countries
or regions are safe for travel the final decision is
dependent on the guidance of the British Foreign &
Commonwealth Office (FCO). If you would like to know
the current travel advice for any country you can visit
www.fco.gov.uk or call 0870 6060290.

1. when making a booking, fanfare events require you to have ticked
the box indicating you haver read and agree to these terms and
conditions. The monetary amount due at the time of booking will be advised
before confirmation. this will either be a deposit or
full payment depending on the package type being confirmed.
some of the packages we offer are based on special
or promotional fares where it is necessary to issue
the tickets at the time of booking. In these
circumstances the deposit will be equal to the
cancellation value of the air tickets issued. If this
applies to your booking you will be advised at the
time you are quoted what the deposit will be. The
deposit / airfare amount will be non-refundable in
the event of cancellation.
The person confirming the reservation does so on behalf of all passengers,
and agrees that he/she isauthorised to do so. In confirming the reservation
these terms and conditions are agreed to.

2. Price Policy: Changes in transportation costs,
including the cost of fuel, dues, taxes or fees
chargeable for services such as landing taxes and
embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and
airports and exchange rates, mean that the price of
your travel arrangements may change after you have
booked. However there will be no change within 30
days of your departure. We will absorb and you will
not be charged for any increase equivalent to 2% of
the price of your travel arrangements, which
excludes any amendment
charges. You will be charged to the amount over and
above that, plus an administration charge of £30.00
per person together with an amount to cover agent’
commission. If this means that you have to pay an
increase of more than 10% of the price of your travel
arrangements, you will have the option of accepting
a change to another holiday if we are able to offer
one (if this is of equivalent or higher quality you will
not have to pay more but if it is of lower quality you
will be refunded the difference in price), or cancelling
and receiving a full refund of all monies paid, except
for any amendment charges and insurance
premiums paid. The price of your holiday was
calculated using exchange rates quoted in the
Financial Times on 16/06/2009.
Should the price of your holiday go down due to the
changes mentioned above, by more than 2% of your
holiday cost, then any refund due will be paid to you.
However, please note that travel arrangements are
not always purchased in local currency and some
apparent changes have no impact on the price of
your travel due to contractual and other protection in
place.

3. Confirmation of booking and Payment
details: The destinations feature on the Fan Fare
events website are served from the UK by
scheduled airlines. As all arrangements are tailor
made, flight details, departure and arrival airport,
flight times and equipment will be confirmed prior to
booking. The booking is only accepted once a
confirmation invoice has been issued, normally
within 7 days. The final payment must be made 8
weeks prior to departure. For bookings made within
8 weeks of departure full payment must be made
immediately.

4. Changes to holiday arrangement by
client: Where possible Fan Fare events will amend
the confirmed booking at a charge of £35 per person
subject to availability, in addition to any charges
levied by any suppliers of services, up to 56 days
before departure, however changes cannot be
guaranteed. Within 56 days Fan Fare events will
endeavour to change a booking for the above fee but
reserve the right to charge cancellation charges as
per the following scale. If for any reason a member
of the party named on the booking form cannot
travel where possible Fan Fare events will transfer
the arrangements to another person provided the
consent of airlines, hotels and suppliers is granted.
The charge for transferring arrangements is £50 per
person in addition to any charges that may be levied
by any suppliers of services.

5. Cancellation by client: Should it be
necessary to cancel confirmed travel arrangements
Fan Fare events must be notified in writing. The
cancellation will take effect from the day the written
confirmation is received. The following scale of
charges will be payable.
Prior to 56 days deposit forfeited.
29 - 56 days - 50% of total cost.
15 - 28 days - 60%.
07 - 14 days - 90%.
01 - 07 days - 100%.
If the reason for your cancellation is covered under
the terms and conditions of your insurance policy,
you may be able to reclaim these charges.

6. Change in holiday arrangements by Fan
Fare events: Every reasonable effort is made to
comply with the travel arrangements as detailed on
the confirmation invoice. However Fan Fare events
reserves the right to make modifications including
cancellation if necessary due to circumstances
beyond their control. Please note that carriers such
as airlines used may be subject to
change. Such a change is deemed to be a minor
change. Other examples of minor changes include
alteration of your outbound/inward flights by less
than 12 hours, changes to aircraft type, change of
accommodation to another of the same standard.
Any changes to the actual airline after you have
received your tickets will be notified to you as soon
as possible and in all cases at check-in or at the
boarding gate. Such a change is deemed to be a
minor change.
For any major changes, Fan Fare events will notify
clients as soon as possible and where able offer an
alternative. Within 56 days of travel compensation
will also be paid at the following scale.
15-56 days £30,
0-14 days £40.

Circumstances beyond our control - We regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where travel is prevented or affected by "force majeure". In these Booking Conditions, "force majeure" means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control. The non-appearance of an artist, cancellation of event or other changes are entirely outside our control or even the control of those organising the event. We will always do our utmost to find a suitable alternative but have no responsibility to refund any monies, due to any travel that cannot commence because of force majeure.

Event cancellation - Should the event that you are
travelling to be cancelled prior to departure Fan Fare
events will do all possible to offer an alternative
departure date. No further compensation will be paid
for any other expenses. Please note that once travel
has commenced, should an event be cancelled Fan
Fare events Liability will be limited to the value of the
event ticket cost only. All fixtures dislayed on this website
are provisional only and are subject to change.
Please note that local television schedules and other unforeseen
circumstances occasionally dictate that an event
date or time is changed at short notice. Fan Fare
events accepts no responsibility in the event of this
happening though will make every effort to assist
clients wherever possible.

7. Fan Fare events responsibility for travel
arrangements: Fan Fare events take care to
ensure that proper arrangements have been made
for holidays advertised on this website.
Every effort is made to ensure that the suppliers of
services which form part of the holiday such as
airlines and hotels are efficient and reputable.
Aircraft & stadium seating – Please note adjacent
seating cannot be guaranteed, however Fan Fare
events will endeavour to secure requested seating
where possible.

and a bond held by ABTA. If you book arrangements
other than a package holiday from this brochure,
your monies are protected by way of a bond held by
ABTA.

ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will
arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for
an advance booking. For further information visit the
ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk

8. Liability If the contract we have with you is not
performed or is improperly performed by us or our
suppliers we will pay you appropriate compensation
if this has affected the enjoyment of your travel
arrangements. However we will not be liable where
any failure in the performance of the contract is due
to: you; or a third party unconnected with the
provision of the travel arrangements and where the
failure is unforeseeable or unavoidable; or unusual
and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our
control, the consequences of which could not have
been avoided even if all due care had been
exercised; or an event which we or our suppliers,
even with all due care, could not foresee or forestall.
Our liability, except in cases involving death, injury or
illness, shall be limited to a maximum of three times
the cost of your travel arrangements. Our liability will
also be limited in accordance with and/or in an
identical manner to
(a) The contractual terms of the companies that
provide the transportation for your travel
arrangements. These terms are incorporated into this
contract; and
(b) Any relevant international convention, for
example the Montreal Convention in respect of travel
by air, the Athens Convention in respect of travel by
sea, the Berne Convention in respect of travel by rail
and the Paris Convention in respect of the provision
of accommodation, which limit the amount of
compensation that you can claim for death, injury,
delay to passengers and loss, damage and delay to
luggage. We are to be regarded as having all benefit
of any limitation of compensation contained in these
or any conventions.
You can ask for copies of the transport companies’
contractual terms, or the international conventions,
from our offices (Address & Telephone).
Under EU law (Regulation 261/2004) you have rights
in some circumstances to refunds and/or
compensation from your airline in cases of denied
boarding, cancellation or delay to flights. Full details
of these rights will be publicised at EU airports and
will also be available from airlines. However
reimbursement in such cases will not automatically
entitle you to a refund of your holiday cost from us.
Your right to a refund and/or compensation from us
is set out in clause 6. If any payments to you are due
from us, any payment made to you by the airline will
be deducted from this amount. If your airline does
not comply with these rules you should complain to
the Air Transport Users’ Council on 020 7240 6061

Prompt Assistance in resort
If the contract we have with you is not performed or
is improperly performed as a result of failures
attributable to a third party unconnected with the
provision of the services, or as a result of failures
due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances
beyond our control, the consequences of which could
not have been avoided even if all due care had been
exercised, or an event which we or our suppliers,
even with all due care, could not foresee or forestall,
and you suffer an injury or other material loss, we
will offer you such prompt assistance as is
reasonable in the circumstances.

9. Website accuracy: Every effort has been
made to ensure that the facts on this website are
correct as of June 2009.
It is possible however that changes may occur.
Where a material change is made, Fan Fare events
will notify you as soon as possible. This website
does not commit the airlines mentioned within it or
any airline whose services are used on the tour.

10. Website Pricing: All prices shown
throughout this website are for guidance only. It is
possible that some prices may have changed since
the brochure was printed. A tailor-made quotation
will be provided at the time of your enquiry. A lot of
the prices shown for our chosen properties are
based on a low season quote and a high season
quote, the seasons vary by country or region, please
ask our Consultants for more details. Our prices are
based on specially negotiated airline rates
(restrictions may apply) and hotel rates, which are
subject to availability at the time of booking. Should
our special rates not be available, we shall advise
you immediately and offer you the option to reserve
your holiday at the higher published rates or using a
‘no frills’ carrier rate at the time of enquiry. It is the
responsibility of each client to ensure that they hold
a valid passport. For all holidays in the brochure, a
ten year passport is required with a minimum of six
months validity remaining, certain destinations
require 12 months.

11. Disputes: Fan Fare events appreciate that
problems can arise. In the event of dissatisfaction
with any aspect of the holiday you are required to
bring this to the attention of Fan Fare events (or
appointed agents, or suppliers) at the earliest
possible opportunity. The majority of problems can
be resolved immediately. If your complaint is not
resolved, written notification should be sent to Fan
Fare events within 21 days of your return. In the
event that complaints arising out of or in connections
with this contract cannot be amicably settled, the
complaint may be referred to arbitration. The
arbitration scheme is arranged by ABTA and
administered independently by IDRS, part of the
Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. It provides for a
simple and inexpensive method of arbitration on
documents alone with restricted liability on you in
respect of costs. Full details will be provided on
request or can be obtained from the ABTA website.
The Scheme does not apply to claims for an amount
greater than £5,000 per person. There is also a limit
of £25,000 per booking form. Neither does it apply to
claims which are solely in respect of physical injury
or illness or their consequences. The Scheme can
however deal with compensation claims which
include an element of minor injury or illness subject
to a limit of £1,000 on the amount the arbitrator can
award per person in respect of this element.
The application for arbitration and Statement of
Claim must be received by IDRS within nine months
of the date of return from the holiday. Outside this
time limit arbitration under the Scheme may still be
available if the company agrees, but the ABTA Code
does not require such agreement.
For injury and illness claims, you may like to use the
ABTA / Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Mediation
Procedure. This is a voluntary scheme and requires
us to agree for mediation to go ahead. The aim is to
help you resolve your dispute in a quick and cost
effective way. Details on request or from
www.abta.com.
